Aquatics
A Healthier and Happier You
Aquatic activities provide a unique combination of low-impact exercise and full-body engagement, making them ideal for all ages and fitness levels. Swimming strengthens the cardiovascular system, improves muscle tone, and enhances flexibility, while water-based fitness classes promote joint mobility and reduce stress on your body. Whether you're swimming laps or enjoying a water fitness session, our aquatics programs enable both physical and mental well-being as part of the Y’s commitment to helping our community live healthier lives. Check the YMCA pool schedule at a branch near you to learn more about class schedules.
Swim Lessons for Children (Ages 3–12)
We believe every child should learn to swim—not only for the joy of being in the water but also for the critical safety skills it provides. Designed for children ages 3 to 12, these swim lessons focus on building confidence and foundational swimming techniques in a supportive environment.
Through engaging and age-appropriate classes, kids will develop essential water safety habits, improve their swimming abilities, and gain lifelong skills that foster health and self-assurance. Guided by caring and encouraging instructors, these lessons are about much more than swimming; they're about helping kids thrive in and out of the pool.
