National Summer Learning Day

Learning with YMCA banner

This Thursday, July 13 is National Summer Learning Day!

To celebrate, we’re joining with No Kid Hungry and the National Summer Learning Association to spread awareness about child hunger in America and help families locate nearby summer meal sites.

As you know, summer vacation is not a happy time for all children. Millions of kids who rely on school meals lose access to daily nutrition when the school year ends. That’s why hundreds of Ys across the country host Free Summer Food Programs, including enrichment activities to keep kids’ minds and bodies nourished during out-of-school time.
