Partnership Supports Young People

FITCHBURG — The Revolving Museum’s Mobile Art Program offers collaborative public art education that will energize young people to believe they can play a meaningful role in the creation of a more beautiful, cleaner, healthier, safer and more vibrant neighborhood.

Through a sponsorship by Steel-Fab Incorporated, of Fitchburg, and a grant from Re-Imagine North of Main Street, Revolving Museum founder/director Jerry Beck will lead youth through workshops that will include construction of an interactive art-mobile, large-scale steel-made public artworks, poetry in public spaces and a series of celebratory community events.

SpencerBank Donation

SpencerBANK recently donated $2,000 to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts in support of the organization’s 150th Anniversary Capital Campaign, and it is again hosting an annual food drive during November to help local food pantries.

This donation to the YMCA will allow the organization to expand its programming and services at its Central Community and Greendale Family branches in Worcester. Projects at the two branches include building a functional training zone, a family splash pad and a teen achievement center, as well as expanding the wellness center and locker rooms.

During the food drive, customers and residents may drop off nonperishable food and household items at any of SpencerBANK’s six branch locations: 176 Main St. and 72 West Main St., Spencer; 121 South Main St., Leicester; 93 Main St., Rutland; 968 Main St., Warren (donations accepted year-round); and, 230 Park Ave., Worcester
