Out of an abundance of caution for our cancer survivor community and their supporters, we are POSTPONING our Mission in Motion Event (scheduled for March 21st) at all YMCA of Central Massachusetts locations. Keep cycling and raising dollars; we’ll be in touch with a new 2020 date!
It is 2020 and we have so much planned for this year. One of our first events, Mission In Motion, will be taking place at all of our Central Massachusetts Branch locations on March 21st.
Mission In Motion is an Association-Wide, Fundraising Cycle-A-Thon Event to benefit LIVESTRONG® AT THE YMCA; a FREE 12 week health and well-being program for cancer survivors and their families.
The LIVESTRONG® AT THE YMCA Program includes:
- FREE 12-week YMCA Family Membership
- Two 75-minute classes per week
- Full access to the YMCA seven days per week
- Free drop-off Child watch
Our certified instructors provide a supportive, safe environment for each class. Our instructors and personal trainers have undergone specialized training in the areas of cancer, post-rehab exercise, nutrition, and supportive cancer care. Learn more about this important community program here.
Mission In Motion has become one of our signature fundraising events and the popularity of this event grows every year. Each one of our Branch Locations will have spin bikes set up for their Team members.
Mission In Motion features:
• Teams of up to 5 people
• 4 hours of cycling between team members
• Raise a minimum of $500 per team
• Team name displayed on bike
• Team members receive a t-shirt and more
• FREE Child Watch Available
Your support makes a community impact. Donations made in honor of the Mission In Motion Event allow people dealing with cancer a chance to regain strength and to reconnect to community, for FREE.
