ANNUAL CAMPAIGN
The Annual Campaign is the vehicle for our Y to provide low- and no-cost programs and direct financial assistance. An annual campaign is an organized effort to secure charitable gifts from YMCA members and the community. The Campaign is more than a fundraising vehicle – it is the largest Y program. Connected by a shared vision, staff at all levels work with one another to engage committed volunteers, Y members and donors to make a lasting impact on the 57 cities and towns served by our Y. Together, we strengthen the foundations of community.
Join Us! By supporting the Y, you are giving:
• Children, whose families could not otherwise afford summertime educational opportunities, a chance to participate in summer camp, where they can not only enjoy the great outdoors, but reduce Summer learning loss
• Cancer survivors a support system through which they can build emotional and physical strength – at no cost to them
• Repeat juvenile offenders from fragile neighborhoods surrounding our urban branches the opportunity to turn their lives around
• Individuals and families the opportunity to access so many more programs and services
Overall, the Annual Campaign allows the Y to fulfill our promise of delivering programs and services which support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Here’s how your gift to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts Annual Campaign makes a difference, right here in your own backyard.
- $50 provides 6 weeks of swim lessons for a child
- $100 provides summer learning loss prevention for a child during one week of camp
- $100 provides SAT preparation for one teen in the Minority Achievers Program
- $150 helps a child build character in a Y youth sports program
- $200 sends a child to summer camp to build life-long friendships
- $500 gives 5 teens critical life skills they need to make the right choices, while gaining hope for the future
- $1000 helps a family spend time together and grow healthier with a Y membership
