At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. The Y’s Annual Fund supports our cause by raising the much needed funds to help children and teens learn, grow and thrive.
These funds provide scholarships to children, teens, individuals and families who would otherwise not be able to participate in Y programs such as after-school and child care programs, youth development initiatives, summer camp and membership assistance. The benefit of this support ensures children and teens are exposed to positive and safe experiences while participating in constructive activities that build character and enhance self-esteem. At the Y we believe our success will always be measured by the lives we impact.
One-hundred percent of the dollars raised directly support children, teens and families in the Central Massachusetts community through the Y’s Annual Fund, which provides confidential assistance to those in need. In 2010 the Y provided $1.7 M in financial assistance, subsidies and community benefit to children, teens and families in Central Massachusetts. We raise annual funds through the support of individuals, foundations, special events, our community and corporate partners. Anyone can help make a difference by participating in one of our annual events or contacting the YMCA of Central Massachusetts to see how they can get involved and change a life.
