Racquetball

We have three "seasons" of racquetball each year:          Fall, Winter and Summer.

The Summer League has started...if you missed it, join us for the Fall League in September!

The Fall league runs from September to December; the Winter league runs from February to May; and the Summer league begins in June and is typically smaller and more flexible due to summer vacations, etc.  If you have "found" us in the middle of a season, that's OK.  You can still come down to the Y and meet other players, work in a pick-up game, or just get some practice for the next season.

The racquetball league is organized as follows:

  • A co-ed league open to all skill levels:                  Advanced (A division), Intermediate (B division) and Novice (C division).  Depending on the number of people who sign up, there may be up to three levels in each division (e.g., A1, A2, A3, etc.)
  • Length of season will be determined by the number of players and will be followed by a single elimination playoff tournament for qualifying players from each division.
  • Matches consist of three games, played in a          45-minute period and are played at the Central Branch on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday nights.  The first two games are to 15 points and the third game is to 11 points.
  • Players play at least one match a week with starting times from 5:00 - 7:15 pm.
  • Every player receives a schedule of his/her division's games (time/date/court) with the players' names, telephone numbers and email addresses.
  • Each player receives a FREE League T-shirt.

Fee:  YMCA members - $25; Non-members - $75 (limited access) or $125 (unlimited access)
